I'm not sure it's appropriate to comment on someone's progress through recovery, but I haven't been a part of that movement so I don't know. I get the feeling that whether early or late, it's always one day at a time. Honestly, I mostly agree with you but I also think alcohol is entirely optional to human existence whereas food is not. So it's not exactly black and white. Probably if we are all as thoughtful as we can be, the whole thing will keep mostly working :)
