I don’t have a single link for you. Gee, looks like you win the internet. Except, just try it. Try to exclude them from your diet, and see where you wind up.

I don’t have a single link for you. Gee, looks like you win the internet.
Except, just try it. Try to exclude them from your diet, and see where you wind up.
And at this point, we can see that there’s nothing to your argument except pedantry. You use vague blanket statements “all” and “carbs” but link to a specific article about refined carbohydrates only, which really doesn’t cover the total scope of “all” carbohydrates.
Carbohydrates are a chemical class. You get carbs when you eat fruits and vegetables. Those are carbs.
People who go vegan have to deal with managing their carb intake all the time, and guess what? It ain’t just because of bread, pasta, rice, whole grain, flour and sugar. The sources of protein for a vegan diet often bring carbs along for the ride. Legumes bring carbs to the table. Quinoa is really popular, but includes a carbohydrate load, even though it’s a good source of essential amino acids.
If carbohydrates aren’t an essential aspect of metabolism, then can you explain the role of glycolysis as an input to the Krebs cycle? Need a link for that?

Have fun.
- keymone 8y agoNo links is the largest red flag, no wonder you’re constantly downvoted. > If carbohydrates aren’t an essential aspect of metabolism, then can you explain the role of glycolysis as an input to the Krebs cycle? You know so much about metabolism, tell me how do ketone bodies enter this picture? I really don’t need your answer, anybody can google for themselves that dietary glucose is not an essential nutrient.
- platelet 8y agoExcept I'm not here for votes of either variety. And I'm not going to feed some hypothetical link monster that insists on their presence. So take your [citation needed] practices somewhere else. Reading comprehension alone will get you through what I've written so far. Nothing I've put forward requires an incredible cognitive leap, such that it simply must be backed by some credible research institution. Just look at the circulatory systems of plants, as non-motile creatures. It's really obvious that anything growing on a vine isn't going to have biological pathways for oils that compare to how humans operate body fat. But yeah, red flags. Whatever. I'm content in leaving you wrong and clueless.
- keymone 8y agonothing to say about ketones and krebs cycle? still going to insist carbs are essential macronutrient? > take your [citation needed] practices somewhere else i like this forum very much, specifically because i see how it's inhabitants react to your baseless claims.
- platelet 8y agoKeep going. I can't wait to see how you win this internet argument. I'm on the edge of my seat.

- keymone 8y agoi have two 4-deep threads with that person, nobody else commented, calling that a flamewar is a bit of a stretch, but ok, point taken.
