I've switched from Google to Duckduckgo for the majority of searches and found that using Duckduckgo's image search is too NSFW to be used at work. One time I searched for a building called "Banana Alley" and was trying to find a photo of it to send to a friend. Google correctly returned a photo of the building, however Duckduckgo returned some "interesting things adults do with bananas". I believe Google has a pre-processor to work out if you're searching for adult content first before deciding if to show adult content in the image results. So if I search for random terms - Google will never show porn, unless I include sex-related terms in the search query. And only then will the NSFW filter be removed.
