I dislike monospace because by definition it has kerning problems. However, alignment problems are usually worse so I still use them in my terminals. Monospace-serifs are interesting. They seem to ease the kerning problems. I just switch my terminal font from Inconsolata to Gofont Mono. Let's see in a few days how happy I am with it. Thanks for the hint.
