Great point! I am not looking to avoid fellow countrymen, rather to immerse myself in a completely different environment. I can see how having expats to talk to would be of a great benefit.
- elptacek 16y agoI lived in Zurich from 95-97, rooming with an American expat I met through Usenet news. He still lives there, in fact. He knows where all the good shopping is, and he's fluent in German. Very handy.
