Isnt flow based programming just a gui on top of functional programming?
- fenwick67 8y agoIsn't functional programming just a gui on top of machine code?
- crimsonalucard 8y agoAh a sarcastic comment. I must have offended you! Not intended! Sometimes it's hard for me to explain to simpler minds what I really mean. I apologize for this. For example the conversion of assembly programming to functional programming the shape of the abstraction changes. From a list of instructions to a single instruction that is a composition of functions! I'm saying that the shape of the abstraction from functional programming to flow based programming doesn't change. It's the same abstraction of composing functions whether it be through typed text or graphical nodes! My question is simply asking if this is true. I hope my english wasn't too complicated. Do you understand the words I am typing? Do you get it? Who I am kidding? No way you could've understood what I just typed. Too complicated for your mind to process. It's my fault for being unable to simplify the language into something you can chew.
- flowbasedmind 8y agoyeah, kind of. but the visualisation adds more possibilities to make coding more understandable and readable.
