- aasasd 8y agoFrom that WP page: “Winer et al. (2002) have found evidence that as many as 50% of adults believe in emission theory,” sourced from https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12094435?dopt=Abstract https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12094435?dopt=Abstract
- bflesch 8y agoThe linked paper actually refutes this number based on the experiments described. It suggests the number is closer to 5% of adults who knowingly believe in some sort of emission theory, directly arguing against the Winer et al. finding.
- Cthulhu_ 8y agoThat kinda sounds like raytracing.

- samatman 8y agoIt is raytracing! Raytracing demonstrates that, although our physics and physiology work on raycasting, the 'visual ray' theory could be correct in some other hypothetical world.
