"Ever" is a long time. I'm certain it's a matter of time before an AI drives better than an average human in all conditions. And then after a few years it will drive better than the best humans.
- chubot 8y agoI believe solving level 5 self-driving is equivalent to solving AGI -- i.e. it's "AI-complete". In that case, there will be a lot of other things to be excited about besides self-driving -- it will basically be the equivalent of aliens landing on Earth. Also, while I agree "ever" is a long time, "a matter of time" doesn't tell me very much. That is, wouldn't surprise me if it were 100+ years away, in which case there other things we should be talking about instead.
- glenrivard 8y agoI agree. But have not heard anyone say the same. But I think you can get L4 where it can drive better then humans in bad weather.
