That argument could easily be reversed: Why wouldn't the Chinese be worried about bugs embedded in foreign tech used for sensitive tasks like military applications? In both cases it's more a matter of trust than anything else. Since it's more about trust, having more actors on the market is a good things, as it gives more options for the rest of us.
