And they even fixed the biggest UX blunder of the iPhone, which is placing the volume buttons and sleep button on opposite sides of the device, just to make it look symmetrical. Symmetry is the worst for user experience.
It's a bit embarrassing when you are trying to turn the volume of your headphones down, and accidentally trigger the "emergency SOS" feature which makes a loud claxon sound, which you can't hear because your earbuds are too loud, and everyone on the bus starts looking at you funny.
Not to mention the idiotic shortcut for screenshots (press sleep + volume simultaneously), which means that half the time I want my device to sleep it just makes a screenshot instead.
- saurik 8y agoI find this confusing, as to me having the buttons on different sides of the device ensures that I never make a mistake as the buttons are nowhere near each other.

- Gigablah 8y agoIf you’re holding the phone with one hand, trying to click a button on one side tends to cause an accidental, simultaneous click on the other side.
- jakobegger 8y agoTry changing the volume when the phone is in your pocket. With front and back both glass, it's easy to mix up the sides. It's even worse in winter when you're wearing gloves.
