I like the idea of promoting the featured system aspect more. The ability to fork a configuration is already there - perhaps not visible enough (the "Edit this part list" on permalinked/featured part lists). Disqus was a great idea. I've added it to the bottom of the part list pages. I'll look into adding it to the individual part pages.
