Bought my first place 6 years ago and people were telling me the same thing. "Market is at a peak", "downturn is right around the corner", etc.
So glad I ignored them because it is the best financial decision I've ever made. Literally changed life for me and my family.
- systematical 8y agoSix years ago was a buyers market and everyone knew it. That's not hindsight. I bought mine 5 years ago and it was still a buyers market and everyone knew it. Me included. Not sure who your people are. Today is a sellers market and everyone knows it.
- whttheuuu 8y agoNope. 6 years ago real estate had already climbed steadily for many many years and people were calling for a crash. Really not too different from what you hear in the news right now ;)
- paulpauper 8y agoSame thing about stocks "they are gonna crash!" "recession!" blah.
- refurb 8y agoI assume you still own it and those gains aren’t realized?
