Nvidia’s first 65-inch 4K HDR gaming display arrives in February for $4,999
- ohiovr 8y agoOn the other end of costs I helped a friend of mine looking for a tv. We found a 50 inch 4K tv for $230.
- zamadatix 8y agoWhen these were announced for delivery early last year they were somewhat innovative and people were speculating ~$2,500-$3,000. Now it comes a year later at $5,000. The upsides: - 144 Hz - Low latency The downsides: - Can't do 4:4:4 at 144 Hz due to input bandwidth limitations - Limited to Nvidias proprietary G-Sync (while superior to VRR there is nothing stopping them from enabling VRR as well in the software) - Competitors have already come out with 4k 120 Hz VRR displays at half the price The monitors with this tech came out (somewhat) on time but are still roughly twice as expensive. I don't think Nvidia's lead is significant enough to try to build a walled garden out of their products.
