In Europe PSD II will come in effect in Q4 this year. By then all banks need to offer account information and payment initiation functionality to psd registered parties. This has spurred banks to implement more than just the required apis and most of them use some form of oauth/accesstoken for authentication. It is only a matter of time before there will be an aggregator site where you will be able to see data from all banks. There are even banks that already show accounts from other banks as well.
