The reason being is that the prereqs for med school are all classes you need to take as a bio major anyway. These are the common prereqs (each school is slightly different, which is stupid): 1 yr biology 1 yr general chemistry 1 yr organic chemistry 1 yr physics 1 yr calculus 1 course in writing
