I find the matpakke thing to be agreeable, at least he way my Norwegian friends do it. Pack what you like! In the US anyway, lunch can be expensive and time consuming if done at restaurants. Portions can be large and that makes me sluggish. My biggest problem with it is the concept of choice - that eats up my time allotment more than the eating! And for social time I would rather talk with coffee than over mouthfuls of food.
