PHP /laravel and react.
- bnt 8y agoI’m actually surprised Laravel isn’t mentioned much here.
- h1d 8y agoPeople may be afraid to mention PHP, as "experienced" people laugh at it but in fact PHP is good that nothing beats its deployment speed.
- illuminati1911 8y agoProbably because the year is 2019, not 2004.
- detaro 8y agoToday is roughly as far from the first release of Laravel as 2004.
- rawfan 8y agoYep. In the past years Laravel has helped us quickly build prototypes that we could conveniently grow into enterprise-scale apps. Backend: PHP/Laravel Frontend: Same, using VueJS as needed/wanted. Database: Usually starting off with SQLite and switch to a more appropriate choice like Postgres, MariaDB or even MSSQL.
- ksec 8y agoI am seeing lots more companies using Laravel with Vue.js. If it wasn't for PHP I think Laravel would have overtook Rails as the tools to build prototypes.
- aregsarkissian 8y agoLaravel even more then rails and django comes with pretty much everything you need for modern web dev built in. Full auth system, feature and unit test infrastructure, background jobs, push notifications integrated with a scalable third party websocket service, integrated with vuejs, webpack wrapper and more. It also has a prebuilt development VM that has supporting services such as mysql and redis or you can use various docker solutions for that. There is also excellent laracasts video course platform with free series on getting started with laravel and there is also codecourse video casts that has examples of full blown websites built with laravel
