After reading ‘jecxjo (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=18825038 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=18825038) it occurred to me I used ed(1) (or ex(1)??) as part of my response to heartbleed mitigation at $TELCO. A scripted edit across a few thousand machine instances, iirc.
