Apps in the Market will naturally get more attention after they've been updated and appear in the "Just in" lists. So yes, it's a crude way of bumping the app a bit.
- megablast 16y agoThis used to happen on the Apple app store as well, but they stopped it to prevent spurious updates. It was getting out of control. Expect to see this happen in the google marketplace as well.
