I didn't throw out eating less meat. I don't disagree with that as being one of the ways of reducing greenhouse gas emissions. But the fact remains that there are many ways of reducing emissions and author/publication makes this one specific recommendation the title of the article. It's a lot more complex than that, but this author has a preferred conclusion.
- chris_mc 8y agoI didn't see anything in the article stating we shouldn't do other things as well. Of course this article is saying we should not eat meat, that's the point of the article. If the article was called "how to stop global climate change" and then said nothing but "don't eat meat", I would have more issues with it, but it is specifically focused on the issue of emissions from agricultural mammals.
- QuantumAphid 8y agoThe title says that this is the best thing we can do. It's not unreasonable to challenge this conclusion.
- chris_mc 8y agoBut you didn't challenge it was the best, which would have required you to submit another method that you think is better and then show evidence.
