- Kaveren 8y agoHas JS had a rough few years? There's been big advances like React and TypeScript. ES6 was a big improvement. JavaScript finally has lexical scoping. It's better than ever. The frameworks exist for a reason, as much as it's popular to diss them. Stuff like jQuery has fallen out of use because it's not considered useful anymore. Progress is important, faster progress is good. Changing stuff for the sake of doing so is bad, of course.
