First I’ve heard of this company, but some Google-Fu reveals a lot of reasons to trust your optimism. They apparently got a $3m ARPA-E grant as well, and are producing something that works through a range of temperatures without forming denrites. Plus an increase in energy density of 115Wh/kg, while increasing stability and safety, even to rupture.
