Sadly some of the predictions where Kurzweil is the most wrong are the ones that depend not so much on technology, but on human society. Life expectancy over 100, the needs of the underclass being met, and most human workers spending their time acquiring knowledge are not the case, no matter which way you squint. Heck, even the paperless office is not really the case in many companies and countries.
