rural != ‘The South’
- scarejunba 8y agoThat's right, trivially. I was in rural areas in The South. No person's experience of rural areas = The South because of the obviousness of the fact that the RHS is a larger set than the LHS and therefore the obvious set equivalence would mean that they are different. Fortunately, I have on the ground experience. But I don't even have to try that hard because we have surveys these days, and rural voters aren't afraid to show their homophobia. Also, as an aside, did you think people forgot Prop 8 so fast? It wasn't The Bay or LA that pushed that over the line.
