I don’t know exactly how it works in all areas to be honest. But if there’s a pension deduction, and one is able to withhold it and invest on their own, I think it should be the default choice. Military is a whole different story. They need to incentivize people somehow and it ain’t going to be ping pong tables and beer fridge.
