Sorry, what?
The obvious phoniness of the website (shaky English, not the actual Rufus site[1]) made me initially think this was some sort of "yeah, download this executable, trust me, dude!" malware operation. But then:
> Rufus is an open source software which is designed by Rufus developers. We are not responsible for the utility as we do not have any affiliation or agreement with Rufus developers. We place download links from the original source of the utility as we mentioned below the download links.
And it does, in fact, link to the actual project and the actual project's binaries (eventually).
So, is the idea to provide a bunch of very poorly-edited patter around why the idea of a bootable USB drive is so cool, along with a handful of screenshots of the (quite self-explanatory) GUI? Moreover, basically all of this info is provided by the actually authoritative Rufus FAQ[2].
I'm not trying to be unfairly dismissive, but I'm genuinely confused as to what value this project provides and fairly curious as to why this exists in the first place.
A suggestion: if the intent is to provide a really really simple walkthrough for using the tool with a level of handholding beyond what the official docs provide, you might be better off formatting this as a blog post or something, rather than this oddly deceptive-feeling site. At best, it comes off as a strange attempt to piggy-back on the popularity of a well-known and widely-used tool.
(Also, the social media icons are just links to the landing page. I was hoping to find some hints there, but no luck).
