- darkpuma 8y agoThey've given themselves enough wiggle room to never roll out Level 5 automation (and thus never admit they were wrong about what hardware it would require.) >"Please note that Self-Driving functionality is dependent upon extensive software validation and regulatory approval, which may vary widely by jurisdiction. It is not possible to know exactly when each element of the functionality described above will be available, as this is highly dependent on local regulatory approval."
- Jarbooski 8y agoAnd who will pay for it? Or do you believe it's profits from here to infinity, as Elon claims?
- extrapickles 8y agoTesla will in some form, though it’s hard to guess what color the money will be from the outside. It would be a goodwill jesture, so probably out of a marketing, customer retention or warrenty account. If they upgrade hardware more than once I would worry about where the money came from.
- TimesOldRoman 8y agoTrue. Tesla also claims to not really advertise. Well, spinning hyperbole that fires up the clickbait is definitely effective advertising.
- erikpukinskis 8y agoNo, advertising is paid placement. What you’re describing is PR.
