I work with somewhat dated MX credit card processing terminals at times, tied to Chase. When manually entering a card number for a correction (such as refund for a double charge ) or adjusting a charge, 000 works just fine as running it manually without the chip aspect doesn’t really need the correct Code. Not really related, but, most merchants can process payment with or without the code. It really just becomes a compliance issue.
