What annoys me with the headphone jack isn't so much that you need an adapter. I have one pair of headphones and I wouldn't have a problem gluing an adapter to it. Instead, what really annoys me is the lack of a secondary port in a convenient location. If they replaced the headphone jack with some other accessory connector, I doubt anyone would complain.
