I just bought a new iPad Pro and realized it doesn’t have a headphone port. And it doesn’t have thunderbolt either so I am now in a situation where I need three different adapters to listen to music on my iPhone, MacBook and iPad. It’s just silly. I have AirPods too, and switching between devices is as seamless as could be expected but still sucks compared to just plugging in headphones. I might return it and stick with my first gen iPad.
