        No. That's not necessary. Assembly language is the simplest programming language there is. It's not a joke and will save time later.

    Unless you have a specific industry in mind, the difference is mostly cosmetic. Are you a fan of things being explicit and obvious from the source even if they take more space - learn python. Are you a fan of short and clever solutions which may be heavy on invisible magic underneath - learn ruby. Otherwise (looking just at popular communities): Data processing, scientific computing, iot - python. System admin, quick websites - ruby.
