I'm guessing it's a similar reason that church bells aren't carefully budgeted for to keep the town running. Do you use WWV?

- birdman3131 8y agoI run a casio waveceptor watch. It is accurate to within half a second of what the local tv uses for broadcast time and seeing as I am involved in a live broadcast then yes i do need that accuracy weekly.
- AnthonBerg 8y agoDo you stand here and claim that people don’t use it?
- tjohns 8y agoI use WWV (or more accurately, WWVB) to automatically set my Casio Navihawk watch, as well as my digital wall clocks. I also rely on WWV as a beacon to make sure my HF amateur radio station is receiving properly.
- FlyMoreRockets 8y agoI picked up a USN ship's wall clock synchronized by WWV at a ham radio swap meet several years ago. Much of my day is spent in the workshop and this is the only way I keep aware of the time.
