Learnt a lot of new things , learnt Elixir/Phoenix, now learning Nodejs with Hapi framework. While learning Nodejs, realised that JS isn't the first language anyone should consider for back-end, but really amazed by things JS is capable of doing today. Would highly recommend Elixir/ Phoenix over Rails , Elixir not only has lesser learning overhead it makes alot of things a lot easier. Concurrency and speed of server are major advantages but I like way language operates. It was also my first functional language and it changed my perspective for programming languages.
