One thing not mentioned in the article is the omission of natural light. We have forced staff into dark, cramped spaces - Then introduced artificial light (knowing very little about the brain, light, vitamin D, SAD etc.). Our office space planning has painted us into a corner. It is now hard to reintroduce natural light back into the workplace.
