would you consider hacker news to be anonymous?

  While you can choose to be anon on HN, I think the culture of HN tends away from that. People will use recurring internet handles, write informative bios of themselves, etc. I suppose nothing stops people from doing this on Blind, but like I said I think it's a cultural difference between platforms. There is less moderation on Blind, so there are more "provocative posts" that people definitely do not want associated with an identifier.
