My worst issue with Gmail at the moment is that I have a label for a mailing list with a good amount of traffic (at least 700 emails a day) and searching, browsing through pages and deleting emails from it takes anywhere from 3 seconds to 3 minutes. In terms of perceived speed and responsiveness alone, even Outlook is faster than Gmail's web interface at the moment.. Also, loading Gmail indeed takes about 20-25 seconds, but that's a small issue for me (yay for one-time costs).
