Most math is useless to 95% of the population. I can't remember the last time I used any of the teachings of my calculus heavy undergrad.
- joshuamorton 8y agoRemembering the chain rule is useless sure, but concepts like how integration works, Newton's method, Bayes rule, and a comfort with calculus-y concepts help me in my job all the time, when reasoning about problems and understanding systems.
