Patreon is for content creators of any kind, Harris was one of the top 10 or so Patreon earners, and probably got most of his income through that route. You should not dismiss what happened so readily because you do not like conservatives. The guy that was booted was banned because 10 months ago, in another platform, he used the N* word, in a satirical way, while mocking the alt-right. That Patreon banned him for that is a very scary sign that we are moving towards a world where speech is controlled by un-elected, unaccountable organizations. It is foolish to think this is OK, just because one happens to not be a fan of the politics of the people being banned at the moment.
