Do all monitors have subpixels ordered RGB, left to right?
- utopcell 8y agoNo, plus people rotate their monitors.
- detaro 8y agoNo, but it is the most common.
- function_seven 8y agoI think the vast majority of them do, but not all. The other common ordering is BGR. I think G is in the middle of the pixel because it is the color our eyes are most sensitive to?
- jsjohnst 8y agoHuman eyes are in fact most sensitive to green light, but I haven’t read anything to indicate that’s why it’s in the middle.
- jonshariat 8y agoNo and I did see someone on his twitter showing it coming out backward for them. https://twitter.com/wamdamdam/status/1074683527680151554 https://twitter.com/wamdamdam/status/1074683527680151554
- detuur 8y agoNot at all. My 4K laptop came with some sort of Bayer-filter-like subpixel arrangement. The LOTR image looks like this when you zoom in with a camera: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DuqJE-mWoAA5VD2.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DuqJE-mWoAA5VD2.jpg
