Hashing is there as Content Based Addressing.
Design Patterns should definitely be on there. It was very important at the time. These days we take them for granted because they are baked into the numerous frameworks that most things are now built on top of.
- bunderbunder 8y agoContent Based Addressing is a late, distributed, and rather distant relative of hash tables. Hashing itself is item #5 under "Appendix: Software Innovations Being Considered".
