Well I'm not sure i believe that the web is truly moving away from ads in as big a way as being claimed here. The trends in news groups are clear, but for each of the other examples there are counterparts that do run ads, ie Netflix and Hulu, and Spotify and Pandora. Don't get me wrong, i would love to see a change just like anyone else here, but I'm not sure I'm seeing it yet.
