Its a great hub city to travel from. Cheap housing, enough stuff to do while you are in town (the jokes of it having no culture arent true anymore, even if its not big city good), and flights are cheap from McCarren. That said, I still moved after I got over my travel-all-the-time phase and felt like I had done everything to do there. Theres supposedly a lot of opportunity there for people who only have a high school diploma (or less) due to the casinos and manual labor.
