We have a good understanding of how much CO2 is costs to build an all-concrete structure today, and we have a good understanding of how much CO2 it costs to build a conventional building today. How much CO2 will it cost to build the replacement building in ~100 years from now? What will the energy requirements of a conventional building built 100 years from now be compared to the energy requirements of our options today? Think about how much different a structure built in 1918 is compared to one build today.
