- dawie 20y agoI got this as a comment on my blog. Is this the beginning of startup spam?
- dpapathanasiou 20y agoI think it just reflects how hard it is to get attention these days. I didn't mind it because it was fairly novel (mail we get to that address is usually either a feature request or a user complaint), and seemed legit. But if tons of other groups start advertising their events this way, it could get tiring, fast.
- sabat 20y agoYou would get tired of VCs and Angels giving you opportunities to pitch? Blogga, PLEASE.
- dpapathanasiou 20y agoIt depends who those VCs and angels are; pitching to just any old investor is not a good idea.
- sbraford 20y agoOut of all the "spam" you could get, this is probably the least annoying (and actually beneficial for some) kind you can get. When contacting people like this, it's usually wise to customize each email (which it doesn't look like they did). Hey X, That thing you said on your blog... hilarious! I once did the same thing. Do you know so and so? The reason I'm contacting you is.... Something like that, only less spammy sounding.
