It's weird but even for small company you can easily generate like 50GB a day :(. Some log are very verbose and devlloper want to put a lot more context into it. JSON log is supper verbose and increase space. And people expext to query arbitrary field out of these. Last I used(2 years ago), Postgres weren't able to keep up with it. Though I just use default RDS and didn't do anything to tune it.
