When I used to do branding and would be training new designers I would tell them the first rule of logo design is "Always Be Checking to Make Sure Logo is not a Penis". For some reason logo that is slightly vagina is mostly ok though. There is another school of thought that is "Always Be Sneaking Dicks Into Your Art". I have some respect for people in the second camp.
