I do feel like DuckDuckGo is too long to type. That's a barrier for me. Rebranding to just Duck might be a good thing, but why "duck" ... not my favorite animal, or why animal at all...
- RandallBrown 8y agoWhy Duck? Because it's already part of their name and their logo.
- quakeguy 8y agoTry ddg.gg.
- rlv-dan 8y agojust type ddg.co/what you are searching for
- FabHK 8y agojust switch your default search engine to DDG, and append !g when you prefer google (or !s for the anonymous startpage version).
- kowdermeister 8y agoThat would be D+Enter if you indeed use it regularly. Add it yo your bookmark bar => no typing :)
- ConfusedDog 8y agoI did. My D+Enter is draw.io...
- MildlySerious 8y agoI type out DuckDuckGo once per browser I use, make it the default search engine, and never worry about the length again. The concern about the branding is understandable, but I haven't typed "Google" or "DuckDuckGo" when I want to use their services in aeons, and I don't even make use of bookmarks.
