A key method I've learned through various sources for ensuring good conversion from WAV to TAP is to invert the whole waveform in Audacity through Effects -> Invert before the actual conversion process.

- ekphrasis 8y agoAccording to post #5 in this Lemon 64 thread[1], sound cards or TV amplifiers may invert signals from tape. I have actually just tried it when running recorded tapes in emulators but it has proved useful in cases when non-inverted tapes have failed to load.
