I immediately thought of this with the pumpkin pie slice. Also, the site indicates that a whole double-crust pie is a calzone, while a slice of double-crust pie is a taco. Having food categories change as they are served and consumed seems fundamentally unstable and can lead only to chaos. The single slice could easily pass through three or four stages during consumption alone! I think a food's category must be fixed at the end of preparation, for the sake of all sanity.
