The same can be said for bikes and bike locks. I don’t think enough people steal for it to prevent all bicycling. Perhaps there is still benefit.

- goobynight 8y agoIt certainly prevents many people from leaving unattended bicycles out after dark or using them during this time. Not just after midnight or something. If you do anything except daytime ride, you're liable to get messed with in some cities. People largely just accept thieves in their society.
